It began last September; in 2023. I’d had a rough year. I was under extreme stress, my mother was very ill. I dropped a lot of weight quickly because I had teeth problems that prevented me from eating certain foods. I ended up on a liquid diet until I had a bone graft in my gums and months later I had my first two dental implants. It was around this time in September 2023 that one day during that month when I was at the hairdresser, I noticed that my parting in my hair had suddenly grown a lot wider. On further investigation, I realised that even on the crown of my scalp I had a small bald patch.
Luckily I had enough sense to know what to do. I went to see a trichologist who took batches of photos of my scalp and showed me the problem. My scalp had inflammation and that had to be addressed immediately. I began using an anti hair loss shampoo. I began washing my hair daily and used a wide toothed comb.
